CASL Marketing Consent

Last updated: 12 August 2026

Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) governs commercial electronic messages (CEMs) sent to electronic addresses in Canada. We send CEMs only with valid express or implied consent.

Express consent

Express consent is obtained through an unticked checkbox on our callback form. The request is separate from the terms of use, states the purpose, names the sender, and tells you that consent can be withdrawn. We keep a record of the wording, date, time and source of each consent.

Implied consent

We may rely on implied consent for six months after an enquiry, or for two years after a service transaction, and where you have conspicuously published a business address without a statement refusing commercial messages.

Identification in every message

Every CEM identifies MacKay Security Services Inc., gives the mailing address 40 Melair Drive, Ayr, Ontario N0B 1E0, Canada, a telephone number (+1 519-632-7824) and an email address, and contains a working unsubscribe mechanism.

Unsubscribing

Use the unsubscribe link in any message, or write to [email protected]. Requests are honoured without charge and no later than 10 business days, as CASL requires.

Complaints

Concerns can be reported to the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission through the Spam Reporting Centre.
