A just-in-time notice is a short explanation shown at the point of collection, so you know what you are handing over before you hand it over. This page collects every notice used on flxba.com in one place, so you can read them without triggering the form.
Subscription sign-up
“We collect your email address to create your account, send your receipt and deliver the articles you have paid for. Your payment details go directly to our payment provider and are not stored by flxba. You can delete your account at any time.”
Newsletter opt-in
“We use your email address only to send the newsletter you have selected. We record whether the email was opened so we can tell which stories readers want. Unsubscribe links are in every message and work immediately.”
Contact and enquiry form
“The name, email address and message you enter here are used to respond to your enquiry and are kept for two years. If your message relates to a story we may share it with the journalist concerned.”
Complaint form
“Complaint details are recorded in our complaints register, which is reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief. If your complaint is escalated to the New Zealand Media Standards Forum, your correspondence will be provided to them.”
Confidential news tip
“Do not include information that identifies you until an editor has replied. We do not log IP addresses submitted through the tip form. Once an editor accepts a confidential source relationship, flxba will not disclose your identity.”
Cookie banner
“Essential cookies keep you signed in and are always on. Analytics and advertising cookies are only set if you accept them, and your choice is remembered for twelve months.”
Competition entry
“Entry details are used to run the draw and contact the winner. Where a prize is supplied by a partner, the winner's name and delivery address are shared with that partner for fulfilment only.”
Comment submission
“Your display name is published with your comment. Your email address is not published and is used only for moderation and to notify you of replies.”
